Indivisible: Stronger Together in Democracy on October 11th, the Second in a series at Newark Library

On Saturday, October 11th from 2 pm to 4 pm, please join us for the second of a series of programs, Indivisible: Stronger Together in Democracy. This series of programs, offered in collaboration by the Alameda County Libraries and Indivisible Fremont CA (IFCA), will focus on the issues we face in keeping our democracy a sustainable reflection of our community and country needs in the 21st Century.


The core focus of each Indivisible: Stronger Together in Democracy is the local Tri-City - Fremont, Newark, and Union City -community experience and will feature panelists of merit from our community in presentation and with Q & A, an artist in performance and time for program attendee to meet and converse as a community. The series will be presented quarterly with the third program slated for Winter 2026, date TBA. All programs will be presented in-person and on-line through Zoom.

Antonio Lopez, Poet Laureate - San Mateo County, former Mayor - East Palo Alto, & Ph.D. student

Mishla Gershenson, jazz musician / singer and founder of Rush Hour Resistance .

Doors open at 1:45 pm for refreshments and connecting with your neighbors.

The event will start promptly at 2:15 pm with a spoken word performance.

Q&A will follow the panel discussion.
